Our team is composed of seasoned professionals with extensive backgrounds in military service, including multiple combat deployments across various theaters of operation.
Our instructors have served on specialized tactical teams and other high-threat response units, where precision, discipline, and decision-making under pressure were not optional. Many of us are also trained and experienced in tactical medicine, providing life-saving care in the most hostile and unpredictable environments.

David Wentworth
President/Instructor
Former Army field medic and Airborne Ranger stationed with the 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. David has seen three combat deployments in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Currently a NH certified Law Enforcement officer and Police Standards and Training certified Firearms Instructor for both pistol and rifle platform

Tom Hebert
Vice President/Lead Firearms Instructor
Tom began his law enforcement career in 2010 and is currently the Chief of Police in a small town in eastern New Hampshire.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, focusing on anti-terrorism and force protection.
He is a certified firearms instructor for pistol, rifle, and shotgun, as well as a Range Safety Officer and Chief Range Safety Officer. A certified SWAT operator and active shooter response instructor, he has extensive experience training law enforcement and civilians.
Having collaborated with private companies to teach Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and firearms training to SWAT teams and specialized military units, demonstrating his commitment to safety within the community and law enforcement.

Tim Monahan
Lead T.C.C.C Instructor
Tim brings over 20 years of experience in emergency medicine to the Recoil Acres team. A longtime paramedic and former Army Staff Sergeant, he served as a MEDEVAC medic with multiple stateside and international deployments, gaining firsthand experience in high-pressure, real-world situations.
Now a full-time police officer, Tim continues to apply his skills on the front lines. He’s a former board-certified tactical medic and has been teaching Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) for several years. His teaching style blends real-world experience with a practical approach, perfect for those looking to build confidence and capability in high-stress environments.
