The 2-Gun Rifle & Pistol Course is an intermediate-level training experience focused on the integration of rifle and pistol platforms in dynamic environments. Designed for students with foundational skills in both firearms, this class emphasizes transitions, movement, and real-world application of marksmanship under pressure. Whether preparing for defensive scenarios or competition, shooters will enhance their speed, accuracy, and confidence with both platforms.

This skill-building course combines modern rifle and handgun techniques in a safe, structured, and challenging setting.

 

Topics Covered:

  • Review of firearms safety and manipulation fundamentals
  • Gear setup and loadout optimization for 2-gun
  • Rifle-to-pistol and pistol-to-rifle transitions
  • Engaging targets at varying distances and angles
  • Reloads, malfunctions, and immediate action drills
  • Positional shooting, and use of cover
  • Target discrimination, speed vs. accuracy, and shot accountability
  • Intro to stage planning and multi-target engagements (competition or defensive context)

  • Experienced pistol and rifle owners
  • Tactical, law enforcement, or armed professionals
  • Shooters interested in home defense, preparedness, or competitive 2-gun/3-gun events

 

Duration: 8 hours (full-day course)

Required Equipment:

  • Rifle (AR-15 or similar) and pistol (semi-automatic recommended)
  • 3+ rifle magazines and 2+ pistol magazines
  • 300 rifle rounds / 200 pistol rounds (minimum)
  • Sling (required) and quality holster (outside waistband)
  • Magazine pouches for both platforms
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and hydration
  • Optional: plate carrier, battle belt, gloves, knee pads

 

**After purchase of this class and closer to the class date, a Recoil Acres instructor will e-mail you with the location and final class details regarding your attendance. Based on class size and firing range availability, the location can change between New Hampshire locations; including Littleton, Bethlehem and Whitefield for Recoil Acres classes and Canterbury New Hampshire. **


The refund policy for Recoil Acres is as follows: If you need to cancel a class, please reach out to us at recoilacres@gmail.com. If the cancellation notice is given within two weeks of the class date, the payment can be transferred and used for another Recoil Acres class within the next 12 months. However, if the class is canceled more than two weeks in advance, the payment can be refunded using the original method of payment.
