The Progressive Pistol Course is designed for new and intermediate shooters seeking to build a strong foundation in handgun safety, operation and marksmanship. The comprehensive class covers the essential skills and knowledge needed for responsible firearm handling and effective pistol shooting.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction in a safe, controlled environment, focusing on topics such as firearm safety rules, pistol components and function, proper grip and stance, sigh alignment, trigger control and basic shooting techniques. Students will also learn how to load, unload and clear malfunctions safely.
Whether you’re new to shooting or looking to refine your fundamental skills, this course provides the confidence and competence needed for recreational shooting, competitive practice or defensive firearms training.
Key Topics Covered:
- Firearm safety and responsible handling
- Parts and operations of common handguns
- Shooting fundamental: Stance, Grip, sights and trigger control
- Shooting drills focusing on accuracy and consistency
- Safe loading, unloading and malfunction clearing
- Duration: 6 hours.

- Semi-automatic pistol

- 300 rounds of ammunition
**After purchase of this class and closer to the class date, a Recoil Acres instructor will e-mail you with the location and final class details regarding your attendance. Based on class size and firing range availability, the location can change between New Hampshire locations; including Littleton, Bethlehem and Whitefield for Recoil Acres classes and Canterbury New Hampshire. **
The refund policy for Recoil Acres is as follows: If you need to cancel a class, please reach out to us at recoilacres@gmail.com. If the cancellation notice is given within two weeks of the class date, the payment can be transferred and used for another Recoil Acres class within the next 12 months. However, if the class is canceled more than two weeks in advance, the payment can be refunded using the original method of payment.
