The Tactical Carbine Rifle Course focused on developing a strong foundation in modern rifle handling, safety, and marksmanship. Tailored for new shooters, or those seeking to refine essential skills, this course emphasizes the core principles necessary for confident and effective operation of a carbine-style rifle (such as the AR-15 platform).
Whether your goals are personal defense, professional development, or recreational shooting, this course delivers the tools and techniques to build solid, repeatable performance under pressure.
Topics Include:
- Firearms safety and responsible handling
- Rifle setup, controls, and function
- Loading, unloading, and administrative handling
- Proper stance, grip, and body mechanics
- Iron sights and/or optic alignment
- Fundamentals of rifle marksmanship
- Magazine changes and malfunction clearing
- Shooting from supported and unsupported positions
- Introduction to movement and positional transitions
Duration: Typically, 6–8 hours
Equipment Required:
- Semi-automatic carbine rifle (AR-15 or similar platform)
- Minimum of two magazines
- 300 rounds of ammunition
- Sling (two-point preferred)
- Eye and ear protection
- Weather-appropriate clothing, water, and lunch/snacks
- Optional: optic, gloves, knee pads, mag pouch
**After purchase of this class and closer to the class date, a Recoil Acres instructor will e-mail you with the location and final class details regarding your attendance. Based on class size and firing range availability, the location can change between New Hampshire locations; including Littleton, Bethlehem and Whitefield for Recoil Acres classes and Canterbury New Hampshire. **
The refund policy for Recoil Acres is as follows: If you need to cancel a class, please reach out to us at recoilacres@gmail.com. If the cancellation notice is given within two weeks of the class date, the payment can be transferred and used for another Recoil Acres class within the next 12 months. However, if the class is canceled more than two weeks in advance, the payment can be refunded using the original method of payment.
