Course Description:

The Introduction to Scoped Carbine course is designed for shooters who want to gain a solid understanding of running a carbine rifle equipped with a low-power variable optic (LPVO) or magnified optic. This class bridges the gap between close-quarters carbine fundamentals and precision rifle work, emphasizing proper optic setup, zeroing procedures, and effective engagement at variable distances.

Whether you’re a newer shooter, hunter, or tactical enthusiast, this course will help you get the most out of your optic-equipped rifle through professional instruction and practical range application.

Topics Covered:

  • Firearms and range safety

  • Mounting and zeroing procedures (including 50/200 and 100-yard zeros)
  • Rifle setup and accessories
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship and recoil control
  • Holdovers, reticle use, and basic ballistic concepts
  • Supported and unsupported shooting positions
  • Target engagement from 25 to 300 yards
  • Transitioning from magnified to non-magnified optics (if applicable)

  • Hunters, competitors, or defense-minded civilians
  • Law enforcement or security professionals upgrading gear

Duration: 6–8 hours (includes classroom and range time)
