Red Dot Pistol Course

The Red Dot Pistol Course is designed to help shooters of all experience levels develop competence, confidence, and speed using a pistol equipped with a red dot optic. Red dot sights offer significant advantages in speed and precision—but they also require a unique skill set to master. This course bridges the gap between traditional iron sight shooting and modern red dot systems. Students will learn to maximize the effectiveness of their red dot-equipped handgun in both defensive and performance settings.

Duration: 4-6 hours

Prerequisites:

• Basic pistol proficiency required
• Students must be familiar with safe firearm handling and basic marksmanship

Required Equipment:

• A red dot-equipped semi-automatic pistol
• 2–3 magazines
• Outside the waistband holster
• 200–300 rounds of ammunition
• Eye and ear protection
• tools for optic adjustment
• Holster with sturdy belt.
• Weather-appropriate clothing, water, and snacks
