Course Description:

The Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course is an in-depth, scenario-driven medical training program based on the evidence-based guidelines established by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. This course is designed to teach life-saving interventions and trauma management techniques in hostile and high-threat environments, where traditional EMS response may be delayed or unavailable.

TCCC is the standard of care for trauma treatment on the battlefield, and this course adapts those principles for military, law enforcement, security, and prepared civilians operating in austere or tactical conditions.

 

Course Overview:

Phases of Care Covered-

       Care Under Fire: Hemorrhage control while under active threat

       Tactical Field Care: Continued assessment and treatment in a semi-permissive environment

       Tactical Evacuation Care: Patient preparation and treatment during evacuation

 

Topics Include:

       Tourniquet application and hemorrhage control (bleeding management)

       Airway management

       Chest trauma and occlusive dressings

       Casualty assessment and trauma protocols (MARCH))

       Hypothermia prevention and shock recognition

       Casualty movement and evacuation strategies

       Live-action scenario drills under stress

 

Who Should Attend:

       Law enforcement officers

       Private security contractors

       Armed civilians and responsible gun owners

       Outdoor adventurers or high-risk professionals

 

Duration: 1-2 days (8-hour days)

Equipment Provided / Required:

     All medical training materials and IFAKs provided for training.

  • Semi-automatic carbine rifle (AR-15 or similar platform)
    • 300 rounds of ammunition
    • Sling (two-point preferred)
  • Semi-automatic pistol
    • 300 rounds of ammunition
    • Outside the waistband holster (Battle belt preferred)
  • Minimum of two magazines for each platform
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Weather-appropriate clothing, water, and lunch/snacks
  • Optional: gloves, knee pads, mag pouches
  • Students should wear duty gear or range attire suitable for movement
  • Optional: plate carriers, gloves, and helmet

**After purchase of this class and closer to the class date, a Recoil Acres instructor will e-mail you with the location and final class details regarding your attendance. Based on class size and firing range availability, the location can change between New Hampshire locations; including Littleton, Lisbon and Twin Mountain for Recoil Acres classes and firing ranges within the Belknap County, NH area for Belknap County classes.

The refund policy for Recoil Acres is as follows: If you need to cancel a class, please reach out to us at recoilacres@gmail.com. If the cancellation notice is given within two weeks of the class date, the payment can be transferred and used for another Recoil Acres class within the next 12 months. However, if the class is canceled more than two weeks in advance, the payment can be refunded using the original method of payment.
